Overview

Ubisoft Bordeaux is looking for an UI Technical Artist to join an unannounced project.

 

Under the guidance of the UI Art Director, you will participate in the design, prototyping, creation, and integration of the graphic elements for the game interface and menu.

 

Always seeking opportunities for automation and responsiveness of assets and comments, you will serve as the link between the design system created by UI and UX professionals and the game engine. In particular, you will be responsible for replicating the design system within the game and ensuring the cohesiveness of all components, assets, and screens, as well as their scalability. With the help of the all team you also will be responsable for the smooth functioning of the ecosystem for the entire game, aiming to harmonize each facet of the gaming experience, align it with the overall art direction, and maintain a cohesive flow.

 

Your responsibilities:



    • Implement a Design System within the engine.

 

    • Develop and manage responsive assets within the engine.

 

    • Automate UI components for enhanced responsiveness.

 

    • Collaborate with the Art Team to oversee interface management, ensuring ergonomic design and cohesiveness, and seamlessly integrate them into the game engine.

 

    • Design and integrate functional interfaces for diverse platforms in the game engine, maintaining uniformity.

 

    • Create artistic variations and graphic elements with a focus on innovation and visual appeal.

 

    • Contract : Permanent contract

 

    • Location: role based in Bordeaux - France

 

    • Remote: On site based position - Hybrid pace possible

    • Previous experience in an equivalent position.

 

    • Proficient in visual design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, XD, or other relevant software.

 

    • Familiarity with scalability and design system methodology.

 

    • Experience with real-time game engines and proficiency in code or scripting languages (C++, C#, Python, etc.).

 

    • Extensive knowledge of UI in games across various genres and platforms.

 

    • Strong command of English enabling effective communication in a professional, English-speaking environment.

 

    • Solid understanding of the video game industry.

 

    • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of both teamwork and autonomous work.
